Put AI to work in your business.

Armature is an AI adoption and operations consultancy for small and midsize businesses. We find where AI will actually help, set it up inside the tools you already use, and stay until your team runs it without us.

Based in Washington. For owners and leaders of small and midsize businesses.

You know AI could help.

Where should a business start with AI?

  • Where the hours go.

Re-typing between systems, chasing approvals, reports that take heroics. That’s usually where AI earns its keep first.

  • Before buying another tool.

Everyone’s selling one. Start with how your business runs, then use what you already pay for where it fits.

  • With one thing the whole team uses.

A few people trying ChatGPT on their own rarely changes much. The time savings show up when the whole team runs the same workflow.

What does one repeated task cost a year?

Pick one task your team repeats. Set the hours it takes each week and how many people do it. The arithmetic is plain, so you can check it.

The task

hours a year

About 15.6 working weeks of one person’s time, every year, spent on invoicing.

3 hours × 4 people × 52 weeks = 624 hours. Each column is one person’s full working year of 2,080 hours.

No promise of savings. This is the time the task takes today, not time we claim to give back.

We start with your work, not with a tool.

How does an Armature engagement work?

  1. Listen.

We talk with the people who do the work, not just leadership, and map how work really moves.

  2. Score and rank.

Every task gets scored on speed, quality, efficiency, and business impact, so you fix what’s worth fixing first.

  3. Build in small steps.

We set AI up inside the tools you already use, train your team, and make sure a person approves anything important.

  4. Measure.

We compare before and after, mostly in hours given back to your team, and tell you plainly what worked and what didn’t.

Sometimes the right answer is “leave it alone.” We’ll tell you that too.

Start small. Go further only if it’s working.

Already know the one problem you want solved? We can scope it directly and skip the audit.

If we can’t measure it, we don’t claim it.

Hours back for your current team.

Time saved on work people already do, valued at what that time costs you.

Work you’d otherwise have to hire for.

New capacity, measured as the cost of the person or contractor you didn’t need.

Every task is scored before and after on four things:

Cycle time
how long it takes from start to finish
Quality
fewer errors and redos
Efficiency
less effort per result
Business impact
what it means for revenue, cost, or customers

Every number we share says whether it was measured or estimated.

Questions owners ask about AI

We already tried ChatGPT. It didn’t do much.

That’s common. A chat window on its own doesn’t change how work gets done. The value comes from picking the right tasks, connecting AI to the tools and files you already use, setting it up safely, and training people on their real work.

Is our data safe?

Your data stays in your systems and your accounts, in your company’s name. AI tools sign in as the person using them and only see what that person can already see. We use business plans that don’t train on your data. We tell you which AI vendors touch it. We remove our access and return or delete anything we hold within 30 days of finishing.

My people won’t use it.

That’s the most common way AI projects fail, so it’s built into how we work. We build around your team’s real tasks, give them simple guides in your company’s branding, and check that they’re actually using it. We’re not done until your team runs it without us.

Will this replace my staff?

The goal is to take the re-typing, chasing, and report-building off people’s plates so they can do the work you hired them for. We measure hours given back, not headcount cut.

Why not just have my IT provider do it?

Keep them; we work alongside them. They handle devices, network, and security. We handle the part they usually don’t: deciding where AI should help, setting it up, training people, and measuring results.

AI makes mistakes. How do you handle that?

A person approves anything that matters: AI drafts, a human sends. And where the answer should always be the same, like calculations and checks, we use plain rules instead of AI.

Can you guarantee savings?

Not before measuring; anyone who does hasn’t seen your business. We commit to a fixed scope and price, a clear definition of done, measured before-and-after results, and straight talk if something isn’t worth doing.

Do we need to be technical?

No. We work in plain language, inside the tools you already use, like Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and your CRM and accounting software.
